Subscriber count is the wrong headline number

A channel with 200,000 subscribers in a low-RPM entertainment niche can earn less than a channel with 20,000 subscribers covering finance or software. Revenue per thousand views differs by several times between subjects, so two channels with identical view counts can be worth very different amounts. Compare revenue, and compare it over a long enough period to see seasonality. A single strong month tells you nothing.

Ask for a screen share, not screenshots

The handover sequence

The order matters. Do these before confirming receipt: 1. Confirm you can sign in to the channel and its associated Google account. 2. Change the password. 3. Change the recovery email and phone to ones you control. 4. Review and revoke other sessions and connected apps. 5. Confirm the AdSense side has been handled as agreed. 6. Re-check strike status.
