What to confirm on a CODM account

The original login

Activision says progress stays with the original login. An account made on Facebook won't move to another Facebook account, and a Guest account lives only on the device. Ask which login it uses and whether it can be handed to you.

The Activision account's 12-month lock

A linked Activision account can change its email only once every 12 months, and 2FA has to be on first. Ask when the email last changed, or you may be stuck with the seller's address for a year.

Owned or a 3-day trial

Some Mythic access is a Mythic Weapon Trial that ends after 3 days. Check in the armory that each Mythic and Legendary item on the listing is owned for good.

Region and edition

Activision Support can't change the country an account registered in. Players in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines may be on Garena's separate edition with its own login.

How to buy a CODM account safely

1Pick the CODM account you want and put your questions to the seller in the deal chat before paying.
2Click Buy with Escrow Protection and pay the price plus the 6% escrow fee. EPICSWP holds the money; the seller doesn't receive it yet.
3The seller hands over inside the deal chat, which is checked for common scam patterns.
4Take over the original login with your own email and password, and if an Activision account is linked, move its email and 2FA to you. Do all of it while your payment is still held.
5Confirm receipt once everything matches, which releases the payment to the seller. If something is wrong, open a dispute and a moderator decides.

Selling a CODM account

Say exactly which login holds the account (Facebook, Activision, Guest or Garena), list the Mythic and Legendary items and mark any that are trials.

If you linked an Activision account, tell the buyer when you last changed its email. Activision resets inventories with items obtained outside normal play, so list only what you earned or were given in game.

Activision's Terms of Use, section 3.C, forbid selling accounts or login details and allow immediate termination. Garena's edition has its own terms. Escrow keeps the money safe between the two of you and doesn't change those rules.

Can I change the email on a CODM account?

On a linked Activision account, once every 12 months, with 2FA switched on first. A Facebook or Google login is changed on that service.

Does CODM progress move to a new Facebook account?

No. Activision ties progress to the original login, so you need control of that same login.

What is a Mythic Weapon Trial?

Temporary access to a Mythic weapon, for 3 days, earned in DMZ: Recon. It isn't ownership, so it shouldn't be counted in an account's value.

Does the CODM region affect matchmaking?

No. You always connect to the closest servers. The registered country changes COD Points store prices, and Support can't change it.
