How Disputes Work in Aegis-Protected Escrow

Disputes are rare on EPICSWP (only 0.3% of transactions), but when they happen, our Aegis-protected resolution process ensures fairness.

Opening a Dispute

Either party can open a dispute during an active deal:

• Click "Open dispute" in the Actions panel
• Provide a reason (minimum 10 characters)
• The deal is immediately frozen — no further actions until resolved
• Both parties are notified
• Aegis AI automatically posts a mediation message

Aegis AI Mediation

When a dispute opens, Aegis AI: 1. Introduces itself as the AI mediator 2. Reviews the full case file (listing, chat history, timeline) 3. Asks the opener to explain what went wrong 4. Asks clarifying questions one at a time 5. Reminds both parties to upload evidence

Evidence Upload

Both parties can upload:

• Screenshots
• PDF documents
• Transaction receipts
• Chat logs (from other platforms, if relevant)
• Code samples
• Test results

Aegis AI performs forensic analysis on all evidence:

• Detects digital editing artifacts

Case Summary Report

When the investigation is complete, Aegis AI generates a professional PDF report:

• Advisory note (final decision rests with moderators)

Moderator Decision

A human moderator reviews:

• All uploaded evidence
• The complete chat history
• The listing description

The moderator then decides:

• Release to seller — Buyer's claim is unfounded
• Refund buyer — Seller didn't deliver as promised
• Partial refund — Both parties share responsibility
