What Valorant buyers look at

Valorant listings are priced on three things: rank, skins and region. A Radiant or Immortal account with a full Act Rank badge sits next to unranked accounts that are mostly a skin collection, such as a Reaver or Prime bundle set with the matching player cards and buddies.

Every one of them is a Riot account, the same login that opens League of Legends and TFT. The shard it was made on and the security Riot now adds to high ranks matter as much as the skins, so read the checks below before you pay.

Four things to check on a Valorant account

The shard can't follow you

An account plays on the shard of its Region of Residence: NA, LATAM, BR, EU, AP or KR. Riot moves an account only to match where the owner really lives, wipes current-season ranked and purchase history on most moves, and then blocks another move for 90 days.

Riot Mobile MFA on high ranks

Accounts that have ever reached Ascendant, or that Riot thinks are shared, need Riot Mobile MFA on the owner's phone before they can queue ranked. An authenticator app doesn't count. Ask whether it is set up and plan to move it to your phone.

Level 20 for Competitive

Competitive opens at account level 20. Ranks don't decay, so the badge you see is the last one earned. Ask for a screenshot of the career page with the current Act Rank.

The email decides who owns it

Riot's own advice is that whoever controls the email can reset the password. A seller who keeps the email can take the account back at any time.

How to buy a Valorant account safely

  1. 1Pick the Valorant account you want and put your questions to the seller in the deal chat before paying.
  2. 2Click Buy with Escrow Protection and pay the price plus the 6% escrow fee. EPICSWP holds the money; the seller doesn't receive it yet.
  3. 3The seller hands over inside the deal chat, which is checked for common scam patterns.
  4. 4On account.riotgames.com, replace the email, password and linked social logins with yours, turn on MFA and press Log Out Everywhere. Do all of it while your payment is still held.
  5. 5Confirm receipt once everything matches, which releases the payment to the seller. If something is wrong, open a dispute and a moderator decides.

Selling a Valorant account

Put the shard, rank, Act Rank, level and the main skin bundles in the listing, and say whether Riot Mobile MFA is on the account. Buyers on another shard can't use it.

Hand over the email with the account. Riot uses the sign-up details to decide ownership, and an account that two people can sign in to tends to get locked.

Create a free listing

Riot's Terms of Service, section 1.5, say you can't sell or transfer your account, or offer to. Riot Support lists account trading as a breach that can lead to a ban, and Riot can also close the seller's other accounts. Escrow covers the money, and Riot's enforcement stays outside it.

Questions about Valorant accounts

How do I secure a Valorant account after buying it?

Change the email first, then the password and any linked Google, Apple or other logins on account.riotgames.com. Turn on MFA, press Log Out Everywhere so the seller's devices are signed out, and set up Riot Mobile MFA on your phone if the account has reached Ascendant.

Can I change the region of a Valorant account?

Only to match where you live, and Riot decides. Most moves erase the current ranked season and purchase history, and then lock the account to that region for 90 days.

Do skins stay on the account if it moves region?

Yes. Riot's transfer FAQ says skins, agents, level and Battlepass progress carry over. Current-season rank, match history and Night Market offers don't.

What is the Verify Account button in Valorant?

It replaces the Start button when ranked needs Riot Mobile MFA on the account. Ranked stays locked until MFA is linked to a phone.
