How escrow works, step by step

Buying or selling an account online? The hardest part is trust. Here's exactly how escrow on EPICSWP protects both sides, step by step.

Someone has to go first

Without escrow, someone has to go first. The buyer pays and hopes, or the seller hands over the login and hopes. One bad trade can cost you everything.

EPICSWP in the middle

Escrow puts EPICSWP in the middle. The buyer's money is held by EPICSWP, not by the seller, and it's only released when the buyer confirms the account is right.

Step 1: Agree the deal

Step one: agree the deal. Open a listing, ask the seller anything in the deal chat, and agree on the price and exactly what's included.

Step 2: Pay into escrow

Step two: pay into escrow. Click Buy with Escrow Protection and pay the price plus a six percent escrow fee. On a five hundred dollar account, you pay five hundred and thirty.

Step 3: The seller delivers

Step three: the seller delivers. The seller is told the money is held, hands over the account inside the deal, and marks delivery in progress.

Step 4: Check and confirm

Step four: check and confirm. Log in, secure the account, and make sure it matches the listing. Only when everything is right, confirm receipt.

Step 5: The seller is paid

Step five: the seller is paid. Confirming releases the seller's full price to their EPICSWP wallet, ready to spend or withdraw.

If something is wrong

Something wrong? Don't confirm. Open a dispute instead. The money stays held while a moderator reviews the evidence from both sides and decides.

Unpaid deals

And if a buyer never pays, the deal cancels itself after seventy-two hours, so no listing gets stuck.

EPICSWP is a marketplace for game accounts and social media accounts. The buyer's payment is held in escrow until the account has been handed over and checked.

THE ESCROW FLOW#

  1. 1Find an account you want and click "Buy with Escrow Protection". You pay the seller's price plus a 6% escrow fee, using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
  2. 2EPICSWP holds your payment and tells the seller the deal is funded. The seller gets nothing at this stage.
  3. 3The seller hands over the account in the deal chat, usually the login and the original email, and clicks Start delivery. Channels and servers can also be moved to you through the platform's own ownership transfer.
  4. 4You check the account and make it secure, for example with a new password, your own email and your own two-factor, then click Confirm receipt. The seller's price is then released to the seller's EPICSWP wallet.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG#

Either side can open a dispute before the buyer confirms receipt. A moderator reads the deal chat, looks at the evidence and decides where the money goes. Aegis, the site's assistant, can summarize the case for the moderator, but a person makes the decision.

WHAT KEEPS IT SAFE#

  • The seller isn't paid until you confirm receipt, or until a moderator decides a dispute in the seller's favor. Money is never released on a timer.
  • A deal that isn't paid within 72 hours cancels itself.
  • Prices and fees are calculated on the server, in whole cents, and every change to a deal's status is recorded.
  • Payment confirmations are signature-checked, and the same payment can't be counted twice.
  • Aegis checks deal chat messages for scam patterns, such as requests to pay outside EPICSWP. Repeated flags freeze the deal until a moderator reviews it.

FEES#

The buyer pays the seller's price plus the 6% escrow fee. The seller receives the full listed price in their wallet when the deal completes, and pays a 3% fee when withdrawing it. Listing is free.

MEMBERSHIPS#

Silver, Gold and Platinum memberships give you more active listings, shorter cooldowns between listings and profile flair. Gold and Platinum also bring higher placement and a lower escrow fee when you buy.
